Any active minded parent, like me, perpetually faces the conflict between encouraging your kid(s) to embrace experiences while not being overbearing. It’s an ongoing learning process for adults and kiddos alike. I felt the need to introduce my kids to skiing. I've learned a lot from my approach with my oldest.
I’m not quite sure how to explain it. A seemingly simple and unassuming moment has been trapped in my mind over the last 24 hours. Maybe I’m losing it, which is likely true, but there might be more to it.
There are plenty of mind-boggling stats that agitate me. Worldwide, we buy 1 million plastic bottles per minute. Only 23% get recycled. In other words, by the time you finish reading this article, 3,850,000 more plastic bottles will be introduced into our environment … forever. Not good. That should make you want to do something about it as well.
