Human Powered Art
Participants had the month of April to “draw” shapes, symbols, words, etc. with their GPS route during any human powered activity for a chance to be crowned Human Powered Artist of the Year and win a custom painted skateboard deck from Golden Boards Art. Additional Sierra Nevada raffle prizes were given out as they have always tried to #SparkYourCuriosity.
This challenge proved a bit more difficult than most participants initially imagined as it required additional planning, routing and multiple attempts to fine tune each masterpieces. Many were surprised to see their own streets and trails in a new light after the challenge.
The four person judging panel had the difficult job of selecting the ultimate winner, but regardless of the final results, the #HumanPoweredArt challenge provided participants another opportunity to move in new ways which was the primary goal. Thanks again to everyone that participated.
