Human Powered Art

We’re tapping into your artistic and creative side for this one. We're all guilty of scouting our friends routes on Strava to see what they did. It’s time to get creative with our routes and turn those GPS tracks into artistic masterpieces.

The Challenge

Participants have the month of April to “draw” shapes, symbols, words, etc. with their GPS route during any human powered activity for a chance to be crowned Human Powered Artist of the Year.
Everyone also has a shot at snagging prizes from our supporters.
​Participants have the creative freedom to sketch whatever comes to mind. Get weird, these masterpieces will be judged on creativity and accuracy.

The Rules

• ​Activities must be completed between 4/1/21 and 4/30/21.
• Submissions must be received by 5/2/21 
• There are no limits to the number of activities and drawings that can be submitted.
• There are no distance or time requirements for activities
• Elevation/Pace Graph Art are valid submissions (and will get extra credit during judging)​
• Participants assume all risk at all times without exception

The Judges

All submissions will be narrowed down to the top 10 which will be judged by an artistic panel including:

• Tyler Allyn, Founder/Owner at Altai Visuals
• Kimberly Hall, creator of the Human Powered Movement logo and freelance bad ass
• Adam Bratton, Head Enabler at Human Powered Movement
• Jim Marques, Artist that created the custom skateboard deck and Owner of Golden Boards

The Submission and The Prizes

One participant will be crowned "Human Powered Artist of the Year", and receive a custom painted HPM skateboard deck. 
Regardless of your artistic skills, all participants have a chance to win raffle prizes from our supporters - Recover Brands, Summit Coffee, and Sierra Nevada.

Submit your art and collect raffle entries to increase your chances of winning:

• 1 entry = Get a friend to join the challenge (they can include your name when they register)
• 5 entries = Repost one of our Instagram posts/stories leading up to the challenge​​
• 2 entries = Submit your art via email HERE 
• 5 entries = Submit your art via Instagram story or post (tag @HumanPoweredMovement and use #HumanPoweredArt so we can see it)

The more submissions, the greater your chance to win. Winners will be selected and announced in early May.
