Denali Summit Challenge

We were awed and inspired by the massive beauty of Denali on a trip to Alaska in Sept of 2020 and wanted to honor the tallest mountain in North America.
Participants were challenged to complete a total of 20,310 feet of elevation gain throughout the month of October 2020 via any human powered activity.

Stats and Snippets

Final Elevation Tracking
  • 458,475ft = Collective elevation gain (equivalent to climbing Denali 22.6 times).
  • 32,781ft = Most individual elevation gain - Tyler Allyn and Megan George of Ketchum, ID.
  • 8005ft = Most elevation gain in a single activity - Stuart Allyn of Seattle, WA.
  • 32% = Percentage of participants who virtually summitted Denali (or higher).
  • Tate Rust Jr., Josh Byrum and Stuart Allyn all accomplished the challenge via foot only (no bikes).
