Adventure Club - Postpart-Run
Kim Hall is a new and first time mom trying to figure out what the "new normal" means. Balancing being the graphic designer for Legion Brewing, finding time to train for races, and learning how to raise a tiny adventurer!
She recently completed the Charlotte Racefest Half Marathon 11 years after running this same exact event for her FIRST half marathon. She chose this race to pay pilgrimage and make it her first post-partum race knowing the suffering was going to feel similar in a very different way.
Lessons learned ... "I'm not the same runner I used to be. Throwing down sub 7 minute miles might not be in my playbook again, but running will always be a part of my life. Crossing the finish line with Gemma in my arms and hearing strangers cheering "Go Mama!!" was so much more fulfilling than placing in my age group. I have SO much more respect for all the momma runners out there. No matter what the paces are, it's amazing that we are just freaking out there doing it!"
